Just three-quarters of a mile from the Beach House, and easily accessible by walking trails or golf cart, lies Mauna Kea Beach.

Voted one of the best beaches on the island of Hawaii and one of the world's top 10 beaches by National Geographic, Mauna Kea Beach is a quarter mile perfect crescent of soft, white sand nestled between two points. Mauna Kea's beautiful lawn, adjacent to the beach, offers a quiet spot for reading in the shade of the palm treas.

The clear water and gently sloping sandy bottom create an ideal environment for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. Visitors can swim out to the wall along the north point and observe a great variety of marine life. At night, the waters are lit up by flood lights, attracting manta rays to the bay for a fun viewing adventure.
